Ye gods, is it hot and humid out.

I would have taken today off if not for the database meeting (which was pretty much a bust this week, as far as I'm concerned. What was supposed to be a 10-minute update on the P&R database took an hour and a quarter and we never talked about senior promotions processes at all.). I would take tomorrow off if not for the staff meeting, which I have to go to in order to get questions answered. I make up a list during the week and ask them all at once at the Friday meeting, unless it's REALLY important.

I keep wanting to make quesadillas, and I never quite get there for some reason. Today it's too hot for that, but under normal circumstances, there's nothing difficult about putting cheese and spinach and mushrooms and such in a tortilla and heating up the whole works until the cheese melts. I don't know why I keep thinking it's too much of a pain in the neck to deal with.

Apparently it's going to be 90-odd degrees out on Saturday. That sounds like a good excuse to spend several hours up to the neck in water, preferably in the ocean, but I'll settle for the bathtub if I have to.

You could always see if Skreeky wants company on Saturday and go hang out in their pool. Or, you could take the commuter rail to a beach nearby. Or, you could go to a public pool.

I have a haircut apt on Saturday afternoon. Then I have a barbeque to go to. If I didn't, I would say that we should hop in the car and drive to the beach somewhere. But I do. So I can't. Wish I could.

Provided that I don't run out of cope or free time, I am planning to go to Metoikos' birthday thing at the beach on Sunday. You could come if you want.

Merp?
