uphill battles
Three hours of project management meeting yesterday, during which two things happened:
1. We got everything except the presentation for our midterm worked out and submitted.
2. We all admitted that we just don't care any more. (Not that this means we won't have three-hour meetings any more, mind you...)
After the meeting I came home intending to work on my case study some more, but couldn't get anywhere with it. The end product of my fighting with a paper is never any good anyway, so I gave up and did the CLD stuff for today instead. I still have to go hunt up Routledge's Technical Dictionary in the library, but since I have to go return some books anyway, it's not out of my way (for once). This week's flavor of fun is a patent application for electric pruning shears.
The vegetable soup I made on Saturday came out fairly well, although it needs something, and I'm not sure what the something is.
I really have to borrow a case study from somewhere, even if it isn't the one my advisor wanted to lend me, because not having an introduction is driving me crazy, and I want to see how the theory part goes with the practical part.
I wonder if I would make better progress with this if I were doing it somewhere sunny, instead of in the lab or in my living room?
