We have two trash days: Monday and Thursday. On Monday, they show up in the early afternoon, but on Thursday they show up at about 8:30 in the morning. Because I'm usually out fairly late on Wednesday, I don't generally take anything out on Wednesday night. I never remember to, anyway.
Today I had some fairly large stuff to get rid of, and I didn't wake up until I heard the truck back down the alley (well, technically it's a street; it has a sign and everything) next door. So I woke up, threw in my contact lenses, threw on the first clothing that came to hand and started hauling stuff out to the curb in a hurry. In the process of hauling stuff outside, I crashed my left elbow into the hall table. So, for the information of anybody who sees me in the next week, that's why my elbow is purple in places.
