I have way too much stuff to do at work, and way too much of it depends on other people actually being helpful. And it's not the people in my office who aren't being helpful; I love the people in my office. It's the people on all these committees. Any time I think I've almost got the schedule set and it's not an utter disaster after all, somebody's schedule gets hiccups and I have to start over.

I'm going to stay late on Thursday so I can get everything else unrelated to committee meetings out of my hair. I'm hoping I can get home by 7:30.

Busy is better than bored.
