It's rather annoying when you've done the dishes and cleared off the table and you're all set to embark on a baking project, and then you discover you don't have any baking powder. It's somewhat more annoying when it's about 8 PM when you discover this, because it means you have to go out in the morning and get baking powder, and it throws your whole formerly well-planned morning for a loop.
I don't know why I thought I had baking powder in the first place, because the only other thing I use it for is pancakes, and I haven't made pancakes from scratch since before grad school.
