Unlike most of the rest of the world, I like daylight saving time. It means it stays lighter longer and my electric bills go down. Yes, all right, I lose an hour of sleep, but it's only an hour. Besides, it means I don't have to wait for the bus home in the dark. That's depressing.
Changing the clocks also signifies that the weather will warm up eventually. I already have independent evidence to prove that: the red-winged blackbirds have found my parents' birdfeeder. When they show up, it's definitely spring.
