Nope, no book yesterday. Put off (again) until March 2011, at the earliest. The Instant Gratification Monster is getting a little annoyed.
However, the sun is out, which is a nice change from Monday and Tuesday, and it's warm out, which is just nice. (Now if it wanted to be warm and dry at the same time...but I'll take what I can get. At least it isn't static electricity weather.)
You'd think I'd be used to it by now, having gone through six immediate supervisors in two years, but the problem with not having an immediate supervisor is you have to ask EVERYBODY if you want a day off. I desperately want a day off, but I'm going to have to take one when the window guys come back to reinstall the interior sashes, so I'm waiting to find out when that is. The alternative is to stuff Snip in a carrier and then go to work and have the window guys let her out when they're done. I'd really rather not.
The flowers that bloom on my desk, tra la, also known as the flowers my sister sent me last Monday, are finally starting to fade. I'm shocked they lasted over the weekend, never mind all the way to Wednesday. I wonder if the water they're in had flower food in it?
For the first time in my life, last week, I got so much email that I lost things in it. I think the lesson to be learned is, I shouldn't read email at all on P&R day, or at least I shouldn't mark anything as read on P&R day. Even if I have read it, I probably haven't registered that it's important. (I spent a lot of yesterday afternoon discovering important email I didn't think I had received. Oops.)
There are a number of things I want right now and none of them are a meeting about the Longer Service materials from May. Oh well. At least it's Wednesday.
