I spent most of the weekend sitting around, but it is possible to sit around and do laundry at the same time, so the laundry got done. Unfortunately, since I slowed down, a cold caught up with me. It's a mild one, but nevertheless it's a cold, and it's making me tired. I generally get a cold in October when the weather changes, and it definitely has. The floors cooled off and the Hairy Beasts got friendly. Well, friendly with me, anyway. Snip keeps retreating to my lap because I don't allow wrestling in it, and Lily has been wanting to wrestle more lately.
Last week's trend continues: I have a meeting today starting at 5:00. But, I have a four-day weekend in two (and a half) weeks. And we're moving back to our permanent office space at the end of this week, so that's two days I won't be spending in meetings. I just hope the cube I'm moving into isn't as convenient to everybody as my old one was. These days I don't have the time to answer everybody else's phones while they go to lunch. (Granted we seem to have a Civil War surplus, wood-burning, steam-powered voicemail system, but still, what's it there for if we don't let people use it?)
All of a sudden I want carrot cake, and there isn't any to be had unless I go home and make some myself. Which is probably for the best because I don't need any, but right now I Want Some.
