Right, said Captain Najork. It is now After Wednesday, and I've more or less unscrambled myself. I was extremely scrambled yesterday afternoon; I left work at 3:00 and got home at 4:00ish after waiting ages for the bus and then stopping off at the grocery store. By the time I got home I was exhausted, sore in the feet/legs/back/shoulders, and GRUMPY. I finally figured out that PMS wasn't helping either, but before I figured that out, Lily got on my last nerve. She alternated between sitting on my keyboard and zooming my screen in and out, and sitting on my phone. I didn't actually shout at her, but if I had had a land line, I would have called my phone while she was sitting on it and scared her into the bomb shelter. (I apologized later, after I realized it was PMS on top of everything else.)

Today is much better, in that most of me doesn't hurt the way it did and I fell asleep an hour or so early last night. I got to work this morning and unscrambled both versions of the Thing into one version suitable for being rolled up and stored somewhere, or borrowed by anybody who wants to mess around with it. It doesn't stick to anything (including itself, which it was infuriatingly good at) much because I made it stop that, so it will have to be messed with on a horizontal surface, but that's not a major problem around here since we've got tutorial rooms with big tables.

The meeting yesterday went quite well, despite my being frazzled about it. All the food showed up when and where it was supposed to, and there was a lot of active discussion about the course schedule and whether it makes sense given the current board exam schedule, and whether lectures should stay in the courses they're in or be moved to other courses, and so forth. (Orthodontics isn't necessarily pediatric dentistry, and Pediatric Dentistry isn't entirely orthodontic.) And the guest lecturer actually showed up early (unheard of!). His lecture ran late, so I ended up guarding the lunch from passing students for a while, but it all worked out. The students passed by again later and got lunch anyway, since we had a lot of leftovers. I wish I'd been there for the lecture and the "results of group discussions" presentation before it, but maybe I'll get to do that next time. I suspect there will be at least one "next time".
