The long weekend was the right length, but I still didn't do all the stuff I should have. I did lots of other stuff that needed doing anyway, though.

On Friday I went to the Coop for hopefully the last time, and bought a little wood-cased clock for our graduating MMSc student. I figure I can start a tradition that way and it makes a good pun about "in recognition of your time with us". I wonder if that's how gold watches got to be retirement presents? Anyway, since I missed the 86 home by a whisker, I took the 66 and went by Blanchard's on the way home and got some Black Fang and some Zombie Killer. Friday was Black Fang night.

Saturday was grocery shopping day, and laundry day, and not a whole lot else. I decided it was too nice out to spend a couple of hours in the laundromat with the quilt when I got home with the groceries.

Sunday was even nicer out (by which I mean it was hot outdoors and cool indoors) and I spent a lot of the morning lounging around in the living room sunspot under various cats. I eventually took the quilt to the laundromat and then came home and put it away for the summer. It doesn't belong on the floor in the first place, and that's how it got hairballed on and needed to go to the laundromat. So now it's clean and put away and I feel better.

Yesterday I had a case of the fidgets and therefore got a lot of little things done, because I would sit down and then remember something else I had wanted to do and get up and do it and sit down again, repeat ad nauseam. I polished the silver jewelry that needed it, and made a strawberry and puff pastry and balsamic vinegar Thing, and put the whole "get these books out of here" box in a bag to bring to work, and promptly forgot the bag this morning because I was too busy remembering to wear different shoes and take out the trash that reeked of moldy strawberries.

I really wish this week were over, but after this week we can fast-forward straight to the middle of July as far as I'm concerned. Except we can't, because I have to do a cubic blortload of stuff for the faculty retreat in late July before we get to the middle of July.
