Ask Dr. LJ

I don't know if I have a wide enough readership for this, but I'll ask anyway...

I want to start singing again. I have a few criteria:

1. It has to be a group that holds auditions, or at least a group that cares about whether its members can carry a tune in a bucket.
2. I can't act my way out of a paper bag, so I want a chorus, not a theater group.
3. Rehearsals have to be T-accessible.

So, any suggestions?

I'm going to pretend that this weekend didn't exist, because with a very few exceptions, it was awful.

You should seriously consider joining my chorus, the Cambridge Community Chorus. It doesn't do auditions, but we're pretty serious about the music. First rehearsal for Handel's Messiah is tomorrow (Halloween). http://www.cambridgechorus.org

Can't help you (commute would be hell), but I sympathize...

I've found I miss regularly singing. Since I left the NJ RenKingdom, singing gigs have been few and far between--- A wedding here, a campfire there.

And I've gotten two half-serious offers to join groups in the area. They both wish I was a tenor, but they'll take any guys they can get. ;D
