Tomorrow is Wednesday? When did that happen?

Well. I had orientation today, and was oriented so much that I was disoriented by the end of it. (Sitting us down for two hours immediately after lunch and going ON and ON about benefits is not the greatest idea.) The first half was good, though; it was the only new employee orientation I've ever been to that emphasized the fact that we're good at what we were hired for, or we wouldn't have been hired for it (and apparently it's hard to get hired by Harvard; it didn't strike me as being that hard, though). Most of the time it's been "you're hired, now read all this stuff and go be a model employee", or something like that.

Because I was only in my office for two and a half hours today, I've got a HUGE amount of stuff to do tomorrow, most of which has to get done before 1:00 because we're going over it at a process meeting. I think I'm trying to get a 40-hour job done in 35 hours a week. It would be really easy to give up going to lunch because I've got so much to do most of the time, but I promised myself that I wasn't going to start doing that again.

It's 18 degrees out. This is one of those days when I can't imagine it could ever get around to being 85 degrees here in the summer.
