I went home last night with every intention of getting drunk. What actually happened was this:

- Got home
- Checked e-mail
- Took bath
- Answered door in bathrobe to find college student wanting me to give MASSPIRG money (grr)
- Went back up to apartment and let all three kittens out by accident (argh)
- Spent fifteen minutes persuading kittens to get back in (grr, argh)
- Made dinner
- Had beer
- Caught Bonnie getting to the top of the coat closet door by climbing up Hillary's long coat
- Almost laughed myself into a case of hiccups when Bonnie decided to go to sleep on the closet-door shelf
- Felt better

I'm still not fit for human company today, but I'm better than I was. I still need to sit down and clear some space in my brain, too.

March is going to be a pain this year, I think. March is the month when I keep waiting for the weather to warm up, and it never does. I also keep waiting for the month to be over, and it never is. There are no holidays in March and that one month always lasts about five years. Then we get into April, and it starts thinking about being spring, and maybe around the end of the month I can go outside without a jacket on, and life starts being somewhat hopeful again.

I think it's lunchtime. I wonder what I want for lunch

I get the added grief of waiting until the end of March to find out if I'm getting a 2002 bonus.

Yep. The 2002 bonuses will be paid out at the end of Q1 2003.

Love my job.

Joining us to celebrate my birthday tonight?

See above about "not fit for human company".

Happy Birthday, though!

):

Our loss.

Let me know when you are fit for human company, OK? It's been ages since we got together.

Except for the cat hair and snorfling, this sounds remarkably like my days.
Plans, "wasted time", missed oppurtunity. TV, game, beer, sleep.
