in which my Luddite side feels validated

I have had it up to the eyebrows with technology. Somebody just sent my cell phone a picture of somebody (female) in their underwear, and followed that with a picture of somebody (male)'s backside. Of all the places to get spam, my phone is not one I'm willing to put up with.

That tears it. This weekend I am going to the Sprint store and make a nuisance of myself until they turn the internet option on my phone off. I meant to do that last weekend, but I forgot. All I want is a phone that makes phone calls, which apparently you can't get any more.

Ok, while that's annoying, it reads most amusingly.

Some carriers claim those features CAN'T be turned off.

I read an article recently reporting that many people feel exactly the same way. (That wasn't the point of the article, it was more about how were phone companies going to help you learn to use and want to use all those features.)
