random thoughts of little interest

Tin foil is your friend, if you happen to want to cover something you're cooking in a large frying pan that never had a lid to begin with. However, I have yet to learn how to deal with broccoli in stirfry; it always ends up slightly overcooked, and the flowers fall off.

Today is my mother's birthday, which fact I completely forgot until half an hour ago. Oops.

Five more days (counting today) and I'm on vacation.

I spent most of yesterday afternoon across the street at the community-garden party. It was a pretty good way to spend a Sunday afternoon, for want of a hammock. If I had owned a hammock, a crowbar would have been required to get me out of it yesterday.

I guess I should start making a list of things I think I can't live without next week, and attempt to remember to buy sunscreen. (Someday they'll invent sunscreen I don't hate. I know it's necessary, but it's definitely evil. I always feel like I've been rolled in bacon grease.)

The list of things I have to do today isn't inspiring me to do any of them.

Want to come and take away one of the too many bottles of sunscreen we have. We've got one in the glove box of each car plus another 3 roaming around the house. Please, come take some of it away!

Have you tried Neutrogena's sunscreens? They're the least greasy I've used.
