occupational hazards

It's very dry in here. Which means my skin is very dry. Which means that given the amount of paper I deal with, winter is paper cut season. I've cut myself four times in the last four working days (including the same finger twice). It also appears to be hangnail season, since I've got three.

In short, my hands are a mess. And having a paper cut in the webbing between my thumb and index finger is really horrendously inconvenient.

Just you wait, 'enry 'iggins, until we finally get around to putting all this paper online. I can't wait for that day; it will make my life so much easier...the only problem is, it won't happen for another couple of years, probably. Until then, I have to find some hand lotion that doesn't hurt when I put it on healing paper cuts.

During the Winter, my hands are generally a cracked mess. I've often resorted to coating my hands with moisturizer and going to bed wearing the cheap cotton gloves you find in the first aid section.

If you want, I have one of the large tins of "Bert's Bee's Hand Balm" that you can have. My mother gave me the large tins for Christmas a couple of years running, so I have far more than I can go through in a reasonable time frame.

I think I might even know where the box is that contains them!

I have some Burts Bees hand creme you should try the next time you are over.
