let that be a lesson to most of us...
I seem to be suffering from a distinct lack of inspiration in terms of what's for lunch next week. You'd think that since I've got four kinds of protein, three kinds of rice, quinoa, couscous, half a gazillion spices and several other random ingredients, I could come up with something I wanted to cook. So far all I've come up with is some kind of curry involving dried apricots.
Today I went and retrieved my newly repaired watch, wandered through Brookline Booksmith's basement and scored another Pogo book, and wandered up to the grocery store for cat food. Gotta feed the cat, after all. She insists on it. (I insist that someday she's got to tell me where she stashes most of her toys, but so far she's not inclined to tell me.)
I also got an absolutely killer idea for an Arisia costume. Depending on how I do it, it could be either a masquerade entry or a hall costume. The problem is that I need to be a mechanical engineer and a dressmaker to make it work, and it'll probably take the next two years to get it completely right.
Tomorrow I'm playing with the idea of getting up and going to Soundbites for breakfast, and coming back by way of Cardullo's and the Apple Store and Trader Joe's. The only trick to that (after the getting up early on a weekend just to spend an hour getting to Soundbites) is figuring out how to get from Harvard Square to the Galleria without going back to Park Street. I think you can do it by way of Kendall Square, but I don't know exactly how that works.
