in which I return to a somewhat even keel
I don't have to go to the mental hospital after all. (Which is the non-PC way of saying that I don't have to go provide administrative support for the promotion criteria presentation at McLean Hospital in Belmont today.)
Things at work are getting better. As of yesterday afternoon, I am no longer allowed to get involved in the copying, assembly, etc., of the second batch of 100 binders for the admin criteria events, I am no longer scheduling final committee meetings, and as soon as practical (meaning sometime in March, we hope), I am no longer in charge of the post-SOP paper chase. All of which means that I might get to the end of March with at least one functioning neuron left.

whuffle enabled me to consume a very large amount of sushi last night didn't hurt, either.
And today is Friday, and I'm all in favor of that.
