A thought for the rabid environmentalists who are trying to tell me that everything I do (or don't do) is wasting resources and KILLING the PLANET!:

The Industrial Revolution killed the planet. It's been an extremely well-preserved corpse since then, and now the preservation is wearing off.

(I'm all for recycling and public transportation and canvas shopping bags, but I just don't like fluorescent light. As soon as the clocks change and it's light out for more of the evening, the incandescent bulbs are going back in.)

The last time I made that Italian veggie soup and had sausage on the side that you said was really good? I found the sausage again. They carry it at our local Stop & Shop. Its not cooked or smoked in advance and is locally produced in Woburn. Brand is Countryfine and the type I used was their sweet Italian. They also make hot Italian, Chinese, and breakfast sausages.

Want me to get you some next time I see it so you can make sausage & cheese pie?

Yes please! (Now all I have to do is find the sausage pie recipe; it seems to have disappeared somewhere between Ohio and Brighton.)
