a morning I wish I wasn't having
Up at 5:50. Shower, feed cats, brush teeth, get dressed, run out the door at 6:15 for the 6:20 bus.
Get to work at 6:35. Sit in meeting room for half an hour waiting for the other two people who are supposed to be there at 7:00. Discover from caterer that building elevator is broken (and has been for two weeks?). 15 laptops in the basement have to come up to the second floor by hand instead of all at once in cart.
Run up and down stairs with laptops. Turn on and load meeting materials onto half of laptops while somebody else attends to other half.
Get volunteered to move Assistant Dean's car from Huntington Ave. to HMS parking garage. Get to garage, explain this is not my car, get access card, have car parked. Go back to meeting from garage, deliver access card to Assistant Dean.
Sit down, have minor panic attack, leave room and breathe for two minutes. Go back to meeting.
Take notes on laptop for remainder of meeting.
Clean up after meeting. Discover that it feels like I've been at work for three hours already because I've been at work for three hours already.
Get to office, turn on computer, get 15-minute reminder for next meeting.
