Ow. My shoulders hurt. Which is entirely my fault, because I forgot to bring the shopping cart when I went grocery shopping yesterday, and I was trying to get home in a hurry before it rained. Which I did. It's raining and cold this morning. I went out to put some bills in the mail and wished I had put on shoes.

I did my French translation for the week yesterday. It was instructions for using a shoe size chart in a catalog. I keep having to remember that the reason I'm here is to go to classes, and everything else is secondary. It's not that I don't want to go to classes, but I'm not used to having only ten hours a week of things I absolutely must do. (Well, ten hours plus whatever homework I wind up with.)

I do like my central air conditioning, but I wish it didn't smell vaguely like old cigarette smoke. I keep the windows open and the air off for several hours about every other day.

I think today would be a good day for a nap.

AC smelly blues

The next time there's a cool day and you don't need the AC for a while, buy some lysol spray (avoid the powder scented one) and spray it in thru the vent and onto the filter of the A unit. This will take away the stench and won't hurt you in any way. Just make sure to let it dry out before turning the unit back on.
