There's nothing like not having water available to make me want to do things with it. I have a perfectly good chicken carcass I want to make stock out of, and it has to wait till Monday. Come to think of it, since I'd be boiling it anyway, it wouldn't be a problem, but the water smells funny to me and I'd rather not cook with it.

I'm glad I got laundry done yesterday.

The water mains between Kent and Ravenna were being worked on this weekend, so we were all under a water boil alert for any water we wanted to actually drink. I decided to use bottled water instead and hold off on the chicken stock until today, when the alert was lifted.

I made veggie soup with the rest of my stock - squash and zucchini and grated garlic! So good.
