We both have miserable jobs where we don't get any respect.
My place of employment is operated exactly like a high school.
We just went through a round of interviews for a new IT member. The person who got the job was the 20 something white male from Worcester.
Every day I walk into this place it's like walking into a high school.
Earlier today, the webmaster spent a few minutes just heaping verbal abuse on me because he felt like it. He never matured past high school. He acts exactly like the petty bullies that I hadn't seen since my freshman year of college.
And what training is the company paying for? Well, our network admin is getting a free MCSE complete with a few weeks off to attend the training classes. Others are getting full or partial college tuition reimbursement.
What do I get?
When I asked for Java training when we were ordered to shift to Java for all development, I was given the URL to a free online seminar. Fan Fucking Tastic.
Oh, and I get to take an online one hour Crystal Reports training session.
Everything else is turned down and denied.
When I get a new job, I'm not giving two weeks here, I'm just leaving.
