ANNOUNCEMENT: I have arbitrarily decided that I, at least, am going for dim sum on Sunday, January 2, at 10:30 AM, at the Emperor's Garden on Washington Street. Anyone who wants to join me is welcome to, and anyone who knows somebody who doesn't read LJ and might want to come too is welcome to invite them. ([livejournal.com profile] sebastian_tombs, how about dinner sometime instead?)

All that coffee I drank yesterday caught up with me at the worst possible moment, of course. I was up, and working, until 3 AM. At least I didn't start working until 1 AM, so I officially didn't do anything academic on Sunday. (I did make the beginnings of duck soup, though, and this time it's going to taste like something other than peppercorns. And I bought plane tickets.)

In honor of the fact that we only have to write one cover letter in French for the composition class this week (and French cover letters are short), we've got 90 exercises to hand in and another 57 to go over in class. I did the in-class ones last night as long as I wasn't sleeping anyway. I managed to run out of music two minutes before I ran out of exercises, and ran out of exercises five minutes before 3:00.

Let's see...today I have to go hunting for parallel texts for tomorrow, and I have to finish the draft of the SciTechMed final, and find out if the draft of the composition final has come back yet. And put a dent in the rest of the exercises, at least. And decide what else I'm going to put in the duck soup. Somehow I don't think broccoli would go very well.

Right. Time for lunch and a trip to Satterfield and miscellaneous other work-related stuff.
