I'm reminded of the experiment one of my sisters and I conducted involving Jello and the ice packed outside.
You can not use a snow bank to make jello. You get unstable and crumbling Popsicles without any sticks.
Being Jello however, you can let them melt and pop them in the fridge to make it all come out in the end.
An then there was the year my mother insisted on, instead of cleaning the refrigerator, keeping the extra milk on the back porch.
Frozen milk is not the same thing as iced milk, and trying to filter out the ice gets you something that's beyond skim milk for complete lack of flavor or actual milk.
