random Fridayness

dchenesThis morning I ran myself out of good decaf. I still have some good high-octane coffee left, but I'm really trying not to drink high-octane coffee if I can avoid it. The debate is now whether I go buy coffee beans from Starbucks, because even though I don't like their coffee that much, it's better than the stuff I can get from the grocery store, which is awful. (WHY doesn't Trader Joe's have a mail-order department?)
Not that it would help the immediate coffee situation, but I should probably call up and find out where one gets a learner's permit around here, so I can at least make vague motions in the direction of getting a driver's license in Ohio instead of in Boston. (I wonder if they make you parallel park out here? I can do that, but if I don't have to, I won't complain.)
