weekend recap
Jul. 8th, 2002 10:18 amSo, here it is, Monday again. Whee.
Let's see...Saturday, I tried to sleep late because it was good sleeping weather, except somewhere in the neighborhood is an amateur crow who sounds like he's either miserable, swallowing a large handful of gravel, or trying to yell while eating something very much too large for him. So I gave up the sleeping idea at about 7:30, got up, had I-forget-what for breakfast, and declared war on the kitchen. I did the dishes and cleaned off the counters and ran the dishwasher and took four bags of plastic shopping bags to be recycled and got the pizza boxes out of one of the chairs. Then I decided that was enough of that, even though the fridge and the rabbit cage still need cleaning out (guess what? They didn't get done yesterday either.) I did, however, make progress on the cross stitch, and the rest of the section I'm working on should be comparatively easy.
Sunday I woke up and thought it was going to rain. It didn't, because it wasn't rain clouds. It was smoke from Canadian wildfires. I went out for breakfast and then finished the first half of the quilt, hooray! Hillary came back from Norwich and brought me my birthday present, which is another Image by Irbald; a day lily, this time. I like the pictures, but I'm going to start running out of walls if I keep being given them. I was sort of out of sorts all day yesterday, mostly because when I get the place to myself for long enough I start thinking too much and that makes me grumpy.
All sorts of people want me to do things on the 14th, and I can't figure out which ones I want to do and which ones I should do and how I'm going to get to any of them, since most of them are outside the realm of public transportation.
