(no subject)
Oct. 9th, 2003 11:12 amAhhh, sleep. Wonderful stuff. I would still be asleep now if I didn't have things to do today, and if I wasn't trying not to fall into the typical college sleep-till-noon mentality. So far, I think I'm succeeding.
I finally did go grocery shopping yesterday, which was a good thing because it got me outdoors. It's summer again all of a sudden, only without the humidity.
The field across the street is being developed. Apparently they're going to put 31 houses in it. I don't think they'll all fit, and if they do, the people who wind up living there won't need lawnmowers because they won't have any lawns. It was a perfectly nice field, too. What I wish they'd do is get rid of the very abandoned and falling-down building up the street. They could, for instance, set fire to it and let the fire department practice putting it out. There's nothing around it to worry about, and the fire department wants to set a building downtown on fire and practice putting that out. When they get done with that, a Starbucks will go up in the empty space. Sigh...
Change of subject...yesterday I seem to have gotten caught in the middle of a swarm of yellow ladybugs. They were zooming around everywhere. In the course of getting back into my apartment after I went grocery shopping, I managed to let two or three of them in. Are yellow ladybugs supposed to be lucky, or is that only the red ones?
I'm waiting for my tea to cool off enough to be drinkable. Hopefully by then it will also be strong enough. Until then, I should go back to my theory exam.
