better

Today is better. The six inches of powder have compacted to something over two inches, and the sun is out. It's not quite warm enough to melt any snow, but it's warm enough that I turned the heat off and opened the window a little to air the place out for a while. Since there isn't any wind, it's not going to get arctic in here instantly.

I went out this morning and bought vegetables, and am seriously considering a spinach and mushroom salad for lunch. I also did my good deed for the day, in reminding the cashier-in-training to actually charge me for an item he handed to the bagger because he couldn't get the in-store coupon off (no fingernails. I know how that goes).

My mom says she sent me a package via parcel post on the 5th. I haven't received it yet. It contains the stuff I got for Christmas that wouldn't fit in the luggage I had with me.

Off to have lunch, do reading, wash dishes, stuff like that. Happy Friday, all.
