I wish I had somebody to sing with. I realized I miss that. I sing along with my stereo, but that's not quite the same thing. I'm silly enough to consider calling people and singing at them.

Today is absolutely cloudless, and the sun reflecting off the ice in the trees is blinding. It's still too cold to melt the ice.

I think light bulbs talk to each other. In the last two days I lost one living room and one bathroom light bulb, and I know for certain that the living room bulb was fairly new. Suicide pact, maybe? In any case, I went out and bought light bulbs this morning, and that's how I know about the ice in the trees.

At the risk of sounding completely insane, I wish my W-2 forms would get to Boston so they can get here so I can do my taxes. I need this year's tax forms to do this year's financial aid forms. Tufts never sent W-2s out until about mid-February, as I recall, though. I hope I can get Ohio tax forms online somewhere, since they didn't seem to have them at the post office. I wouldn't bother at all since I made something under $500 in Ohio this year, but I suspect I'll get a refund from the state of Ohio, so I might as well fill out the forms and see.

Since September I've asked four times for the management company to do something about my leaking kitchen faucet. I've started putting notes in with my rent checks asking them to please come fix it. If that doesn't work either, I'm going to stop paying the $15-per-month water bill that gets included with the rent and see how long it takes them to fix the faucet after that. Given their track record with this, I might as well fix the leaking shower head myself and get it over with. At least that only leaks when the shower is running; the hot water runs down the back instead of out the front.

I wish I could put plastic grocery bags in the regular plastic recycling bin. I just hate throwing them out, but they're on the verge of taking over the laundry room.

Ah, the joys of domesticity...
