As I type, my kitchen faucet is getting fixed. Hooray! No more trying to write papers and being distracted by the faucet dripping to the point where I have to put on music and drown it out. Not that music is a terrible thing, of course, but sometimes I like to work without it.

Today it's warm, overcast and intermittently raining. That's what I get for waiting for rain (speaking of drowning).

I discovered (again) last night that a cheese grater is a sharp object. I didn't notice until a couple of hours after the fact that I had cut myself on something, and couldn't figure out what, until I remembered I had washed the cheese grater while I was doing dishes. Terribly smart of me, I know.

My jade plant is waking up again, having gone dormant all winter. Right now it's got five major stalks, and one of them is sprouting new leaves in eight places, six of which are from the bare stem. One of the other ones is sprouting new roots about halfway up. I'm debating whether I should cut it off right below the new root and replant it, or whether I should leave it alone and see what it does. If it keeps going like this, it's going to need re-potting again by the end of the summer.

Other than that, nothing interesting has happened since yesterday.
