I've more or less fallen into the habit of taking Thursday off completely. As long as I have one day per week when I can do anything I want, and more importantly not do anything I don't want, I seem to be able to keep up with mostly everything. File it under "student schedule, therefore weird", cross-listed with "whatever works".

I am so ready for this damn bibliography project to be done! I got it back for the third time yesterday, and I was already sick of it last time I turned in a draft of it. The final version is due next week, and after that I would dearly love to forget it ever existed. I think the entire graduate translation program wishes it were spring break already. Two and a half more weeks...

I've been grumpy for the last couple of days, partly because my foot hurts and there's absolutely no reason why it should. It doesn't look like there's anything wrong with it, and I haven't done anything to it lately. It feels like there's a splinter in it, but there's no hole in my foot, so I'm damned if I know what's going on.

Some day when I have nothing better to do, I should look up the prevailing weather patterns here and find out why, when it's overcast here, it's overcast for at least three days. I'd rather have Oberlin spring weather, where it rained in the morning, cleared up until midafternoon, clouded over again, rained just before dinner, and repeated the whole works again the next day. At least we saw the sun occasionally.

Random thought: it's very impressive when you open a bottle of seltzer that's been sitting quietly for a week and it still explodes all over the place. It's probably the sugar in regular soda that keeps it from doing things like that.
