I've finally given in and put together a playlist that consists of all of my favorite songs from various CDs. By "favorite" I mean "the songs I never skip" or "the two or three songs I bought the CD for" or "the songs that get stuck in my head, so I play the CD for two weeks" or some such thing like that. I think the whole list is going to be too long to burn to one CD.

The List, for those interested )

This is going to be one of those CDs that makes perfect sense to me and will probably leave the rest of the world wondering how in the hell all this stuff goes together. It will, however, make being stuck in front of a computer in the lab next semester more tolerable.

Last Monday I was awakened at 8:30 by a leaf blower. Today I was awakened at 8:30 by a thunderstorm. All things considered, I prefer the thunderstorm.

I knew that somebody somewhere around here had to have a lilac bush; Kent is one of those places where everybody who possibly can, plants flowers. I found the lilac bush between home and the laundromat last week, along with a whole mess of lily of the valley and tulips.

Kent is also managing to be pretty humid. I haven't been down around the river lately, so I have no idea how much water's actually in it these days. It was looking pretty sad around February, though.

One of the wheels fell off my laundry cart last week, in such a way as to be not worth repairing, even if repairing it were possible. I have to do something about that before I need to do laundry again. My next load of major laundry is going to be entirely green - sheets, towels and winter bathrobe. That amuses me for no particular reason, other than the fact that for once, getting green lint on the rest of the laundry won't matter.

I need to buy seltzer, but I really don't want to carry it home. Oh well. Being sore in the arms builds character. (When I buy seltzer, I buy six or seven liters at once.)

If I didn't know better, I'd say it was going to rain again.
