I wanted rain, and I got Frances. Figures. It's nice listening to it rain, though. For once the noise coming in through the window isn't all of my neighbors' air conditioners all at once. I'm debating leaving my bonsai tree outdoors while I'm at my class tonight. That'll water it but good, which it could probably use. I've been giving it a good spritz at least once a day lately, and it still seems to be happy. In fact, I think it's spreading out. Every time I look at it, it seems to be taking up more space.
Speaking of taking up space, I seem to be completely incapable of keeping any horizontal surface (except my bed) cleared off. This annoys me, because I didn't think I was that much of a pack rat. That's some of it, and some of the rest of it is that I never seem to have time to finish a cleaning fit, so I always wind up with a pile of stuff that needs to be put away and never gets dealt with. (Until the next time I have a cleaning fit, and second verse same as the first, only with a different pile of stuff.)
None of this rambling on is getting my composition exercises done. I think I'd be more inclined to do them if they didn't involve constantly switching between a PDF and a Word file. The book for the course is out of print, so the prof scanned the whole thing and gives it to us in chunks of PDFs, and I have to type the exercises to hand in. I suppose I could print the PDFs, so at least I'd have one set of paper to work with. Call me a Luddite, but I like paper in some cases. You can write things on it, and it doesn't go Poof when your computer decides to have problems.
Right. That's enough of that. Off to take some more things off yesterday's list.
