Paper is heavy. Three-ring binders are heavy. Rearranging my advisor's bookshelves of case studies, all of which are at least 60 pages and some of which are in three-ring binders, is a workout. The fact that I had to keep leaping on and off chairs and miscellaneous other furniture (most of the time with armloads of paper) to get at the stuff to rearrange adds to the workout. So, after three hours, 13 years of case studies are labeled by year, arranged by year and alphabetically by student within the years, and my back wants to know what I've done to it.
I was considering going grocery shopping today, but I don't think hauling more heavy stuff around is going to improve things very much. Now where did I put the Advil?
