Linen mishaps and everything else aside, it's nice out, and a good day to be out running errands. Which means I should take myself off to the laundromat soon, or as soon as I get done with my lunch, anyway.

I'm listening to WERS on the computer again, and I've come to the conclusion that I really ought to get ahold of a recording of Man of La Mancha, because I don't know it as well as I'd like to (and getting a song I only half know stuck in my head is aggravating, because I usually can't find the end).

I think I've figured out why I'm going insane lately. It's because when I have take-home midterm exams, the regular classwork goes on as usual, so I have twice as much work to get done in the same amount of time. At least that's how it works this semester. Sometimes I miss being employed in the real world, if only because work didn't follow me home. Part of that was the nature of the job; there's not a whole lot you can do from home as a secretary. In any case, I like my current sleep schedule better than the one I had when I was working.

Because of all the rain we had a while ago, most of the trees are half-naked now and there are huge amounts of matted wet leaves all over the ground. Nobody rakes wet leaves, and they never quite dry out. We've crossed the line from fall being pretty to fall being depressing, because everything looks dead now.

Right. Laundry. Followed by cleaning fit, hopefully.
