Once I got outdoors yesterday, life got a lot better. It was in the high 50s yesterday, and sunny, and one of those days that seems to be designed to make you feel better if you only get out into it and stay there for a while. I also got most of the project management project which is technically due tomorrow (but the prof would really like it handed in today) done.
Today, of course, there's an inch of snow on the ground, but I'm not as depressed as I was yesterday. (I wonder, weather-wise, how the maple syrup season is going this year?)
I was thinking about it yesterday, and damned if I can come up with a reason (other than semi-imminent moving) not to get a cat. Moving with a cat isn't impossible; I know several people who've done it. (No, I'm not actually going to get a cat until I know where I'm going. I just wanted to find out if I thought it was truly impossible, or if I was just being practical.)
Moving with a fish isn't impossible either, and I know I can get a gallon jar with a lid. The problem with that is, the jar in question is at the grocery store and full of pickles. I like pickles, but I can't eat an entire gallon, and the idea of throwing them away bothers me for some reason. That's silly, but there it is.
I should decide whether I want roast chicken or chicken soup or some combination thereof. Hmm.
