academic slog
Mar. 9th, 2005 07:18 pmWe only got about 2" of snow, but it's still snow, and it's still cold out.
I spent a couple of hours yesterday and four hours today working on my case study. Given another hour or so of tweaking, I'll have a complete first draft of both articles, so I can give my advisor everything I haven't given her yet and wait for it to come back covered in ink next week. I got the case study stuff done just in time for the project management meeting, which went on for another couple of hours. It's amazing how much time I can spend sitting in the lab, providing I have something to work on that holds my interest for that long. For some reason I have a terrible time sitting through project management lectures; I always want to either be somewhere else or be doing something else.
I need a new kneeling chair. If I had a genie handy, I'd ask for a kneeling chair, a copy of the Flammarion medical dictionary, and that job I applied for. Everything else, at the moment, is gravy.
[EDIT: Did I say another hour or so for the case study? I lied. It's been two hours and I'm not done yet. Unfortunately now I'm too tired to get anywhere else with it.]
