The THUD you all heard last night was me, coming down off the stress I've been under since last week. After I dropped off my case study, I came home and decided cooking was beyond me. The problem was, I didn't have any money on hand either. So I called a pizza place I hadn't tried yet, ordered a pizza for pickup, went to the ATM between here and the pizza place, picked up the pizza and came home. The whole trip took me an hour, and the pizza was lukewarm by the time I got home with it, but I didn't have to cook it, so that was all right.

The verdict: Guys Pizza uses better toppings than Bruno's, but Guys sauce is WAY too sweet. (Partly my fault; I meant to order white sauce, but I forgot when I was on the phone. This is why I usually write this stuff down before I call to order food.)

So I came home, ate pizza, and curled up in my papasan chair, and actually let myself be tired earlier than usual. I went to bed at a reasonable hour for once and slept like a rock. Today I feel mostly human again, which is good.

Today: project management meeting. Bleargh. Hopefully it won't be longer than a couple of hours. I think I might go get coffee beforehand anyway, though.

Well, now I REALLY need to buy a suit for interviews and such. In the course of figuring out what I'm going to wear for my case study defense, I discovered that everything that used to fit me doesn't, and everything that does is worn out or stained or something like that. I can jury-rig the tired skirt elastic and fix the buttons coming off the shirt I want to wear on Monday, but I can't get the green ink out of the shirt (thankfully I can just keep my blazer buttoned), and my blazer is slightly off-black, so it doesn't work with anything truly black under it. Oh, and one of the shoulder pads in the blazer has shuffled itself out of place and turned into a random lump. I argued it back to more or less where it belongs, but I can't really fix it without taking the lining apart, and that's a bigger project than I want to deal with myself. And there are no tailors in Kent.

So, I need a suit. And I need it BEFORE I have income, in order to get a job, in order to get income. Harumpf.
