There comes a point at which practicality wins over theoretical convenience. Which is why I went to a dry cleaner in Coolidge Corner today. I knew where it was, and I knew I could get to it reliably. On top of which, today is Friday, and since both of my suit jackets needed cleaning, I won't get caught with an interview and nothing to wear to it until Monday at the earliest. I'm reasonably certain that nobody is going to call me in the next hour and want to set me up with an interview first thing on Monday morning anyway.

Because I went to Coolidge Corner, I failed to buy cereal or laundry soap or milk, which are things I'm either out of or damn close to out of. However, I know where the grocery store is, and today's not over yet.

It's absolutely gorgeous out, to the point where I only came back indoors again because the popsicles I bought at Trader Joe's are happiest in the freezer.

How's this for a pizza? Pesto and provolone and mozzarella and sundried tomatoes and garlic and walnuts. I think I'll try that tonight.
