(no subject)
Oct. 26th, 2005 09:10 amAs I rather thought it would, comes now the dance of insurance vs eyesight.
There's something wrong with my right contact lens. There has been for about a week now. It makes anything I look at half-blurry, and it's really rather annoying. I have one spare pair of lenses left, and if I put those in, I have three months (roughly) to get employed, get insurance, get to the eye doctor and get a new prescription, which I probably need anyway. Problem being, I don't know if I can do that in three months. I know I can get temp jobs, which is money, at least, but those don't come with insurance. And if I happen to get one of the BWH jobs, I don't get insurance until the end of the three-month probationary period. (And since I can't afford to pay utility bills this month, no way can I afford private insurance, so don't suggest it. Besides, private insurance probably charges extra for vision.)
On a completely unrelated subject, I know that fruit flies don't spontaneously generate out of thin air, but they might as well. Ye gods.
