It seems to be Friday; how did that happen?
Yesterday my new scanner got hooked up, and I love the thing already. In slightly over an hour, I had scanned a stack of paper that would have taken me all day otherwise. An originating document is generally not short, and scanning 30 pages one at a time with the other scanner...I don't want to think about that. It looks like the scanner with document feeder has finally been invented properly, even if it is a bit of a behemoth. (That'll just encourage me to keep the piles of paper off my desk.)
It wasn't really all that warm last night, and I don't know why the heat didn't come on. I went to bed in a long-sleeved shirt and long pants and socks, and never woke up because I was too hot.
This morning we had the next-to-last of the committee meetings all close together. The last one is next Wednesday, and then I'm off the hook for those until the 21st. That'll be nice, because it's somewhat of a pain to be working on something and have to drop it in the middle to go set up the conference phone and assemble cookies and coffee (and sugar and cream and stirrers and napkins) and juice and spare copies of the meeting materials and all that jazz, and then drop the current project again to clean up after the meeting an hour or so later. Today's meeting was complicated by the fact that I couldn't clean up after it and be in the weekly staff meeting at the same time. I was slightly late to the staff meeting, but that was fine because they started with the stuff I don't work with anyway.
I have no idea what I'm going to do with my weekend.
