I've arrived at the conclusion that the tax agencies REALLY don't want you doing your own taxes and mailing them forms any more. They don't send paper forms to the post office, and they don't post the addresses to send the forms to in any convenient places. At least next year I'll be back to only federal and Massachusetts resident, instead of federal, Massachusetts part-year, Ohio part-year and Ohio school district.

Of course, being a Mac user, I'm mostly SOL for tax software unless I want to pay a lot for it. I'm not all that excited about having the computer do my taxes for me anyway. Just give me the forms, even as PDF files, and a calculator, and leave me alone for an hour, and I'll do it myself. (It's easy when you only have money by earning it from your employer.)

I hope the copier saga is done now. We've got one of those copiers that ate Cleveland, and we had it fixed last week because of software errors. Fixing that took two guys a couple of hours, and afterward it didn't give us software errors any more, but it ticked. It sounded like a wall clock. Yesterday it got stuck on a different error, and two different guys came out and fixed it for an hour, and I hope it's fixed, because I've got to do a lot of copying in the next couple of weeks.

HUNGRY. We've got the phone coverage scheduled now, though, so I can't go to lunch until L gets back. I'm stuck with it on Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday. At least it seems to be fairly quiet today.

According to Google, the definition of a gentleman is somebody who knows how to play the trombone, and doesn't. Does that mean that someday I'll be a lady?
