in which nothing exciting happens
Feb. 27th, 2006 12:56 pmI don't know where all the motivation I had last week went, but it certainly seems to have gone somewhere. Good thing I made a list on Friday, or I wouldn't have thought of any of it today. At least it bodes well for my getting out of here on time for once, which I have to do anyway because of my trombone lesson tonight. (I really hope I don't end up waiting for the bus for 20 minutes again, although I was rather amused last week when somebody in the back of a car stopped at the light saw me and hollered "Trombones rule!".)
Last night I scared myself half to death by dropping my left contact lens somewhere in my bed after I took it out. I did find it again, and got it unfolded without tearing it, which is a minor miracle in itself. It wouldn't have been so traumatic except it's my last pair of lenses, and I don't want to get any more of this prescription until after I go to the eye doctor on Friday (at which point the prescription will probably change anyway).
I managed not to do anything useful yesterday after I got another page and a half of the paper written (badly), except boil eggs. Hardboiled eggs are fine and all, but I think I want something else for lunch.
