I apologized, and it wasn't as big a deal as I thought. It usually isn't, because I tend to kick myself harder than other people would have kicked me about things like that. Despite the weather (I don't remember ordering any snow, but I guess my spring haircut attracted it), today is a better day than yesterday. Partly because I decided it would be, and partly because I have time to remember things today.

We've sent eighteen people through SOP since February, by having three meetings in six weeks. That doesn't sound as impressive as it is when you're me and you know how many feet of paper you've thrown out in the process. I bet if you put it all together, including the extra copies nobody needed, what I've culled out of the files, and the things I had to reprint four times for silly mistakes, it adds up to something over ten feet of paper. The guys who empty our confidential recycling bin probably all have hernias by now, because anything that says "promotion" or "appointment" and has somebody's name on it at the same time goes in there.

I don't have to make my own Easter lasagna this year. What a lovely idea. Not that I make bad lasagna, but it's not quite the same as my mother's, and I like hers better.
