Apr. 10th, 2006 11:23 amLast night I made pasta and bean salad, and granola. I can't figure out how I did it, but I seem to have filled up my entire sink with dishes in the process of making one-receptacle recipes (one pot and one pan, respectively).
I wish I could stop being tired on Mondays, because it's depressing to haul my carcass out of bed in the morning, shuffle off to work, and realize when I get there that I have a trombone lesson (for which I generally haven't practiced at all yet) on top of the rest of the day.
I spent most of yesterday being tired, too, although at least I got outdoors some. (It should've been as warm out as it looked yesterday, dammit!) Anyway, I went and merfed around in Harvard Square for a while, and didn't buy any chocolate from Cardullo's, and didn't buy a new peppermill from Crate & Barrel (although I was tempted and I do need one), and didn't buy any silly refrigerator magnets from Bob Slate's, and did buy a cup of coffee, and came home again.
I'm slowly digging myself out from underneath the filing backlog from February and March. At least now the files will fit in the filing cabinets, instead of having to live on the floor. I ended up having to write myself an Access database to keep track of what faculty member has what stuff in which folder, and when the various bits of what folders went to various other places. (I really need to figure out how to disable certain fields based on the contents of other fields, though, because I keep giving myself heart attacks looking at secondary appointments. Those only require half as much paperwork as regular appointments, but all the database fields are still enabled.)
So, in short, it's Monday, I'm tired and I'm conquering the paper pile.
