I went out this morning with errands on the mind, and since I missed the bus by the width of the intersection (again), I walked up to Brookline Village and caught the next bus at Kent St. Got off it at Harvard, walked up to Porter Square, went to Porter Square Books because I was curious, came back to Harvard again, went to Cardullo's (I'm addicted to really good dark chocolate now, dammit), got sidetracked into the used CD store between the Brattle and Crate & Barrel and came out with an experiment (Rainbow, which was on in the store, and I liked two songs back to back, so I bought it), went to Crate & Barrel and finally got a pepper mill that works, got on the bus and went to Coolidge Corner, picked up a prescription, went to Trader Joe's and came home again. Now I have to cook chicken and do laundry. I meant to go to the Super 88 too, but by the time I got to Brighton Ave where I could get on the 57 to go out there, I didn't feel like putting another hour or so onto the excursion. Besides, I lost all of my Teva calluses over the winter, and my feet had started to complain.

I really wish D wouldn't smoke in the garden when I've got my kitchen door open. I suppose I could just shut the door.

It being spring, or at the very least May, I decided it was time for the semiannual major bedding wash. I washed both blankets today, and will wash the enormous comforter tomorrow and put it away. Three loads of laundry in two and a half hours ain't bad (one load of dark, one load of white and one load of blankets).

Drat, I forgot about the mattress pad. That means I have to disassemble the whole works again. Oops.

(So, how many people thought this was going to be a post about web design? HTML, in this case, stands for Hey! Too Much Laundry!)
