(no subject)

I've had better Tuesdays, starting last night when I dropped my trombone (in case) on my foot. OW. Positive proof that Friday the 13th falls on Tuesday this month, I guess.

Work is being the Chinese sort of interesting today; people aren't sending me things I really desperately need in order to get important stuff done, and all I can do is remind them about it and pray they send me what I need, instead of (for instance) sending me back the template I sent, as opposed to the letter they were supposed to write based on the template. Last time I paid any attention to the language I was using, it was English, but what do I know? Maybe I'm really speaking Swahili or something.

I really have got to do something about my kitchen. If I could find anything in it and/or put anything away in it, I might be inclined to cook things in it. (I still can't make bread, due to lack of counter space, though.)

I talked myself out of going and getting ice cream after lunch, and I wish I hadn't, because now I REALLY want ice cream.

Inspired by the fact that everybody's getting new kittens lately and the fact that I'm tired of being the only sentient thing living here, I've just asked my landlord about adopting a cat.

If the answer is no, so be it, and I'll work on paying down my debt enough to see about moving next year. If the answer is yes, I'll be surprised.
