Spent all day in a workshop that called itself an "Organizational Review", and is basically a pilot program to show our department what we do and how we can do it better. The first half was all general stuff and how-do-you-know-you're-a-good-team stuff (we are, and we know it by the way we work and how much we get done), but the second half got down to brass tacks, meaning the senior promotions database we're working on. Basically we scrapped the idea we were working with, and started at the end, and are working our way back to the beginning (we know what we want the database to do, in the end, but we don't know yet exactly how we're going to do it). Stuff like that is interesting, but it's also exhausting. My to-do list got longer by about five items today, and I haven't even touched the list I made before I went on vacation yet. Gonna be a busy week...

In other news, Terry Pratchett is still silly (I've read The Light Fantastic twice since Saturday), and I'm off to my trombone lesson.
