general updates

I set four mousetraps last night and didn't catch any mice, but I don't know if that's because the place smells funny now that I've cleaned the heck out of it, or if it's because I'm afflicted with smart mice. (I hope I'm afflicted with idiot mice, who don't care that things got moved around and all of a sudden there's this thing with peanut butter on it right in the middle of the way...)
I'll be happy when it's not September any more, because between now and October, I've got four committee meetings. They happened to fall out such that they're on the 21st, 22nd, 25th and 26th, so I've been putting that stuff together when I'm not chasing after the SOP meeting. There is, of course, one problem child, that being the one on the 25th. That's the one I scheduled in June becase I'd been trying to get it scheduled since February.
I don't even care about the October SOP meeting, because even if the agenda is enormous, at least all those committees have already met. Now all I have to do is get them to write reports and send them to me in a somewhat timely fashion.
OK, so somebody please explain to me why I can't highlight and delete text in the LJ web client any more? It's been going on for about a week now and it's starting to get annoying.
Right. Seven more minutes and I'm officially not at lunch any more. What sort of trouble can I get into and back out of again in seven minutes?
